Katonah Yoga is a structural practice working the bones and joints, setting up proper form so that organs and glands are organized for better function. The workshop style classes inform you of how your body is designed to fit itself and puts you in archetypal poses so that you don't come to yoga to "do you", you come to change yourself using your body as your personal roadmap. The practice allows us to play for the reformation, transformation and the liberation.
Therapeutic Private Yoga. Body reading is used to identify suitable supported and assisted postures to reorient your body. The nurturing private sessions reorient the body to gain insights and new perspectives.
Katonah Yoga Yin This class incorporates gentle movements linked to breath combined with postures (asanas) that are held for longer periods of time to target connective tissue and fascia. This class is designed to help students find space and relax the body and mind.
Katonah Yoga Foundations Participate in your own well being, all you have to do is show up! Whether you are new to yoga or someone who has practised elsewhere, Katonah Yoga will be new to you. This class will acquaint you with a Katonah Yoga practice and theory at a slower pace. The workshop style classes incorporate asana, pranayama and physical adjustments in a safe, non-judgmental and welcoming environment.
