Turkey Kofta Kebabs

These easy Turkey Kofta Kebabs are a great protein option to have in your repertoire for a fast and easy meal. The spice blend is what makes these really shine! They can also be formed into meatballs, burgers, or simply cooked ground if you don’t have an air-fryer or grill. I’ve used frozen ground turkey here, which seemed to have a bit more moisture and fat than the fresh options I’ve tried., leading to a nicer texture.

ingredients

  • 1 lb Frozen Ground Turkey

  • 1 Medium Yellow Onion, diced

  • 1 Cup Parsley, diced (or 2 Tbsp Dried Parsley Flakes)

  • 1 tsp Paprika

  • 1 tsp Cumin

  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp Ground Pepper

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

How to make Turkey kofta kebabs

Step 1: Mix together finely diced onions and parsley in a medium bowl. Option to finely chop in a food processor.

Step 2: Add thawed frozen ground turkey, salt and spices to the onion/parsley mixture. Mix by hand to evenly distribute the spices.

Step 3:

Grill/Air Fry: Form into a sausage shape (about 6) and grill for 5 minutes on each side. Alternatively, air fry at 400°F for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.

Baking: Preheat the oven to 450°F. Transfer the mixture onto the lined sheet pan and press it into an even rectangle — aim for about 3/4 inch thick.

  • Using a sharp knife, slice the turkey mixture into long kebab-style strips, about 1–1½ inches wide. No need to separate them; they’ll bake and pull apart easily after.

  • Bake for 15–16 minutes, or until the kebabs are fully cooked through.

  • Optional: For a crispy finish, switch the oven to broil on high for the last 1–2 minutes. Keep a close eye so they don’t burn

Step 4: Serve as is with Tzatziki or with a salad and brown rice.
